The Christian County Health Department will be closed on Wednesday, Oct. 13, for staff training, department officials announced in a Facebook post.
The closure means drive-thru COVID-19 testing will not be offered Wednesday. The testing and the agency’s other services will resume on normal schedules Thursday.
The health department provides polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests from 7:45 a.m. to noon and 1 to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday in its Canton Street parking lot. Appointments are not needed, and there’s no charge. Results are provided in 48 to 72 hours.
