An 87-year-old woman has died of COVID-19 related complications, the Christian County Health Department confirmed Wednesday.
The woman had underlying health conditions, health department spokeswoman Amanda Sweeney said in a release.
The woman’s death is the county’s 10th attributed to coronavirus since the pandemic began and the fifth in the last two weeks. The health department confirmed the ninth death on Tuesday.
“Please remember that COVID-19 can mean life or death, especially among our more vulnerable populations,” Sweeney said. “We ask that the community continues to take preventative steps such as frequent hand washing, wearing a mask in public, and social distancing when possible to prevent the spread of COVID-19.”
