After recording three newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the previous week, Christian County had three new cases reported in a single day, the local health department said Wednesday.
The county’s total increased to 103 with 13 active cases and 87 recovered, in addition to three deaths that were reported on April 8.
The number of confirmed, active cases by age group are:
- Pediatric (0-21): 2
- Young Adult-Middle Age (22-59): 10
- Older Adult (60-84): 1
- Elderly (85+): 0
By race, the local numbers break down to 81 white, 21 black and one Asian, according to the health department’s report.
Kentucky reported 166 new cases Wednesday, which puts the total since the start of the outbreak at 8,167, Gov. Andy Beshear said during his daily briefing.
The state had 10 deaths from COVID-19, raising the total to 376.
The governor said the state estimates that 2,919 people have recovered from the coronavirus.
