The Christian County Chamber of Commerce will host its Women’s Summit from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, March 30, at the James E. Bruce Convention Center.
The cost — $50 for chamber members and $60 for non-members — includes a lunch. Registration is available online.
The keynote speaker will be Stephanie Spires, a Lexington-based consultant who works with small businesses and nonprofit organizations. She is a former chair of the Fayette County Board of Education and has served on several community boards in Lexington.
The summit will also include two panels:
- Women of Influence: Planters Bank CEO Elizabeth McCoy, Christian County Magistrate Magaline Ferguson, South Western Kentucky Economic Development Council Associate Director Sharon Butts, Christian Circuit Family Court Judge Katherine Demps and Jennie Stuart Health Vice President of Nursing and Clinical Services Beth McCraw.
- Women Who Put Christian County on the Map: Hopkinsville-Christian County Tourism Executive Director Brooke Jung, Casey Jones Distillery co-owner Peg Hays, Burdoc Farms co-owner Sara Shepherd, Oak Grove Tourism Executive Director Traci Cunningham and retired educator Gwenda Motley. The moderator will be Alissa Keller, executive director of the Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County.
Organizers have billed the event as a “day of women’s empowerment.”
