The watch is set to expire at 2 a.m. Sunday.

Much of Western Kentucky — including Christian, Todd and Trigg counties — is under a tornado watch until 2 a.m. Sunday, the National Weather Service (NWS) reported.

A tornado watch means conditions are favorable for the development of tornadoes.

The NWS forecast states, “Scattered to numerous thunderstorms are expected this evening and into the overnight. Damaging wind will be the main hazard, along with a chance for a few tornadoes. Marginally severe hail is also possible.”

Showers and thunderstorms are likely before 2 a.m.
