Chamber’s holiday campaign offers chance at prizes for shoppers who support local business

Shoppers at local businesses can use their receipts to be entered into a raffle for a basketful of gift cards and products from chamber members.

Saturday kicked off the official observance of shopping small to support local businesses in communities across the country, but the emphasis didn’t end with one day. It will continue right up to Christmas week.

That’s the idea behind a Christian County Chamber of Commerce campaign that starts today and runs through Dec. 22.

Shoppers at local businesses can use their receipts to be entered into a raffle for a basketful of gift cards and products from chamber members. The gifts and cards have acombined value of more than $600.

“We want to reward you for supporting local businesses this holiday season. Shop small and win big with our holiday raffle giveaway,” a chamber representative said in today’s announcement.

Anyone can participate by taking a photo of their store receipt and sending it, along with a name and phone number, to ChamberReceiptRaffle@gmail.com.

For every $10 spent at a chamber-member business, the shopper will receive one raffle ticket.
