CCPS is taking a snow day Thursday

Sports and extracurricular activities are also canceled.

Christian County Public Schools will be closed Thursday in response to the weather forecast calling for snow

“Thursday’s school closing is considered a traditional snow day,” a district press release states. “Subsequent inclement weather school closings will follow non-traditional instruction procedures per each school’s NTI plan.”

Thursday’s high school midterms and finals will be rescheduled.

Sports and extracurricular activities are also canceled on Thursday.

If the district keeps schools closed on Friday because of the weather, Pembroke Elementary School students will be exempt from NTI that day. Pembroke is closed while repairs are made to damages from the Dec. 11 tornado. It is scheduled to reopen Jan. 10.

Additional information is available in the district’s inclement weather guide
