Casey Jones Distillery to be sold

The decision to sell the business comes a little more than three years since the distillery broke ground on a nearly $2 million expansion, which included construction of a rickhouse with a capacity for 3,000 barrels of bourbon and other spirits.

Casey Jones Distillery’s owners — husband and wife A.J. Jones and Peg Hays, and their business partner, Cody Turner — have agreed to sell the Witty Lane company, Hays said Tuesday morning in a Facebook post

B3 Beverage Co., owned by Joey and Abby Feerar, will acquire Casey Jones, she said.

Jones and Hays established the distillery on their Witty Lane farm in 2014. Turner joined the business a few years ago.

“B3 is positioned to take what we’ve built and carry it to the next level: the level AJ and I always dreamed of, worked for, and hoped our team would someday get to enjoy. And now they will,” Hays wrote.

In addition to its craft spirits, Casey Jones has developed its grounds to host large gatherings and music concerts.
