Winter-like weather is headed our way Friday evening, when overnight temperatures will dip into the low 30s and a mix of rain and snow could fall in Hopkinsville.
The National Weather Service predicts a 40% chance of rain Friday morning, followed by the possibility of rain again after midnight and light snow before sunrise Saturday. No significant accumulation is expected.
Temperatures will remain chilly through the weekend with highs in the 40s and lows near 20 degrees on Saturday and Sunday.
It will be slightly warmer early next week with highs in the upper 40s and lows around the freezing mark.
Winter is still six weeks away, officially starting on Dec. 21.
