Brooke Jung, the executive director of the Hopkinsville Convention and Visitors Bureau, and local attorney Dan Kemp will co-chair the 2021 United Way of the Pennyrile fundraising campaign.
“I am looking forward to serving as co-chair for another incredible United Way campaign,” Kemp said in a news release. “The United Way creates opportunities for a better life for all by advancing common good through investing in education, income and health. That is something we can all get behind.”
Kemp, a former Hopkinsville mayor, also chaired the 2012 campaign for United Way. Jung, in addition to running the local visitors bureau, is a professionally trained baker.
The co-chairs chose “Baking a Difference” for the campaign theme. The campaign’s goal is $750,000. The kick-off is scheduled on Sept. 2.
