Hope Heffley

Hope Heffley is a rising senior at Western Kentucky University with a double major in journalism and communications, and works as a student reporter with WKU Public Radio. A native of Frankfort, she also works as a writer and photographer for Talisman magazine.

As warmer weather brings tick season back to the commonwealth, most of the U.S. is experiencing the highest rates of tick-related emergency room visits in nearly a decade.
