Frances Davenport

Frances Davenport is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Atmospheric Science at Colorado State University. She studies climate dynamics, extreme climate events, hydrology and climate impacts. Her research includes the use of new quantitative methods, including deep learning, within the fields of climate science and hydrology. She also studies the understanding and quantifying the societal impacts of natural hazards like flooding and extreme heat.

Although floods are a natural occurrence, human-caused climate change is making severe flooding events like these more common.
