Arts grants available for military-focused initiatives

Mid-America Arts Alliance is seeking grant applications from organizations that have an interest in helping members of the military and veterans.

The Mid-America Arts Alliance is accepting applications for a nationwide grant program that could appeal to organizations in the Hopkinsville area that have an interest in helping members of the military and veterans.

The Creative Forces Community Engagement Grants aim to “improve the health, well-being and quality of life for military service members and veterans exposed to trauma as well as their families and caregivers through experiences of art or art-making,” the Alliance recently announced.

Applications are being sought from organizations that will provide “arts-based community engagement projects that engage targeted military-connected communities.”

Approximately 35 grants, ranging from $10,000 to $50,000, will be awarded.

Among the groups eligible to apply are nonprofit organizations and units of state or local government.

The deadline to apply is Dec. 15. More information is available here.
