Alhambra show will benefit school and community theater programs

The show featuring Bachelors of Broadway: Gentlemen of the Theatre will be Sept. 9.

The Pennyroyal Arts Council is sponsoring a live performance titled “An Evening on Broadway” to benefit local theater programs. 

The show featuring the Bachelors of Broadway: Gentlemen of the Theatre is slated at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, at the Alhambra downtown. The three vocalists, accompanied by a nine-piece orchestra, will perform songs from modern and classic musicals including “Wicked,” “Phantom of The Opera,” “Miss Saigon” and “Les Miserables.”

Tickets, available online, are $50 to $60 for adults and $25 to $30 for children. 

In a Facebook post, organizers said proceeds by will be shared by the Alhambra, Campanile Productions and drama programs at Christian County Public Schools, University Heights Academy and Heritage Christian Academy. 

Flynn Enterprises is the title sponsor for the event.
