Daytime lane closures are planned along West Seventh Street between North Drive and the Princeton Road intersection as crews continue a widening project.

Motorists can expect delays during this work, which begins Monday, Sept. 14.

According to a press release from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, crews will block the westbound lane from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to accommodate installation of drainage tile and rock. Traffic will alternate through the construction zone with flaggers to direct motorists.

The $11.6 million project will widen 1.07 miles of West Seventh Street to three lanes and include the addition of gutters and sidewalks. The entire project is expected to be completed in the fall of 2027.
