Hopkinsville’s YMCA will be closed Tuesday will repairs are made to a gas leak in the facility’s basketball gym, the YMCA staff wrote in an email to members.
“We are able to remain open for the rest of today (Monday, January 19) by ventilating the building; however, once we close this evening, the gas will be shut off so repairs can be made,” the email states. “As a result, the YMCA will not be open tomorrow morning (Tuesday, January 20). Our contractors will be on site, and once they assess the situation, we will make a decision about reopening in the afternoon and will provide an update as soon as possible.”
