Ceremony set to present Mayor’s Community Awards

Mayor James R Knight Jr. initiated the awards in 2024 with an aim to “celebrate the unsung heroes who make Hopkinsville a stronger, more connected community.” 

The Mayor’s Community Awards will be presented during a ceremony set for 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, at the Hopkinsville Municipal Center, 715 S. Virginia St.

Individuals and organizations in the following categories will be recognized: 

  • Volunteer
  • Educator
  • Small Business
  • Nonprofit
  • City of Hopkinsville employee

The public is invited to the ceremony, according to a press release from city officials. Light refreshments will be served.
