Torchlight Tales — an annual presentation of the Bell Witch story by local historian William Turner and educator Wayne Goolsby — is scheduled for 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, at Jeffers Bend Environmental Center.
Attendees should bring their own lawn chairs and blankets. Hot chocolate, cookies and s’mores will be served, according to a news release from organizers. Children are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes to the gathering.
Admission is $5 per car. Members of the military and first responders get in free.
