Megan Kem has been appointed interim principal at Christian County High School after serving as the school’s assistant principal for six years.
She will fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Leigh Ellen Malone, who has accepted a job with the school system in Warren County, according to a press release.
Kem has been employed by Christian County Public Schools for 18 years with experience as a teacher and administrator at both of the district’s public high schools. She holds a master’s degree in secondary English education from the University of Kentucky and a master’s in counseling and school administration from Murray State University.
“I truly believe in the power of education to change lives,” Kem said in the press release. “I’m passionate about the mission behind the Profile of a Graduate and look forward to supporting the students and families of Christian County High School. My commitment is to student success and building a school culture where every student has the opportunity to thrive.”
Kem and her husband, Matt, have two children, Lilly and Charlie.
