The annual Cayce Days, a seminar that focuses on the work of clairvoyant Edgar Cayce, is planned Friday, March 21, through Sunday, March 23, in downtown Hopkinsville.
The Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County, Visit Hopkinsville and Milkweed Health & Harmony Emporium sponsor Cayce Days.
Cayce was born March 18, 1877, at the Beverly community in southern Christian County. Known as the “Sleeping Prophet,” he was credited with helping hundreds of individuals by recommending treatments — after going into a self-induced trance and appearing to be asleep — for people suffering with a range of illnesses and conditions that traditional medicine often failed to resolve.

He was an “early force in holistic medicine and in the New Age movement,” Cayce Days organizers said in a press release from the museum.
Two special presenters slated to speak are Jessica Newell, an archivist, historian and writer and serves as director of the Edgar Cayce Foundation and the Library of the Association for Research and Enlightenment in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Mallory Key, a professional astrologer accredited with the American Federation for Astrologers who “brings insight into the astral influences that affect our daily lives.”
