Christian County Public Schools announced Monday afternoon that classes would resume Tuesday on a two-hour delay; however, that plan was scrapped early Tuesday when district officials decided to keep schools closed.
“After the additional snow that fell in our area overnight, Christian County Schools has made the decision to cancel in-person learning for Tuesday …,” district spokeswoman Johnna Brown said in an email delivered at 5:42 a.m.
Tuesday will be the second NTI, or non-traditional instruction, day for students.
“Students should complete the second day of their NTI assignments. Parents can reach out to their child’s teacher via ParentSquare for directions or assistance with NTI assignment,” Brown said.
Inspire Early Learning Academy was not closed.
A decision was pending on athletic event schedules.
This story was updated to report the school district’s decision to close on Tuesday.
