Hopkinsville-Christian County Newcomers and Neighbors kicking off a new year of programming

Potential new members are invited to an open house on Aug. 21.

The Hopkinsville-Christian County Newcomers and Neighbors is inviting potential new members to learn more about the organization during an open house on Wednesday, Aug. 21, at St. John Methodist Church’s Lilly Hall, 2808 S. Virginia St.

Guests may drop in anytime between 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. to pick up a calendar of events, meet members and visit information stations with refreshments, organizers said.

The club is for new and established residents who want to “learn, explore, connect and contribute” to the community.

The members meet monthly for luncheons with community speakers. Additional activities include outings, lunch meet-ups, a book club, crafting and charitable activities.

More information is available on the Newcomers and Neighbors Facebook page. The organization’s sponsor is Planters Bank.
