The Xtraordinary Gentlemen, a Kentucky group known for their soul music, will play in downtown Hopkinsville from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, June 4, as part of the Squealin’ on the Square BBQ Festival.
The live music is the first in the city’s new Sounds at Six series, the Hopkinsville Division of Parks and Recreation announced.
The other free concerts are scheduled for July 16, Aug. 27 and Sept. 10. Each event will have a cash bar with beer and wine, and Casey Jones Distillery will be serving drinks, as well.
The Sounds at Six series is a rebranding of Fridays@5 in Founders Square at Ninth and Main streets.
Squealin’ on the Square will feature BBQ teams competing for best chicken, ribs and pork chops. The teams will sell their BBQ to the public starting at 6 p.m.
