COVID-19 vaccine appointments are now open for Kentucky residents ages 18 and older at the James E. Bruce Convention Center, a regional vaccination site run by the Christian County Health Department.
The health department announced in a Facebook post on Monday that it was opening up vaccine appointments to Phase 3 — which includes anyone age 18 and older, even if they do not have a high-risk health condition.

The health department opened up Phase 3 because of an increase in vaccine supply, according to announcement. Although Phase 3 is technically for anyone age 16 and older, the Moderna shot administered at the Bruce Center is approved only for ages 18 and older.
Last week, local health officials twice expanded the vaccine availability — first to residents 50 and older and then to those 40 and older.
Appointments may be made online or by calling the health department at 270-887-4160, ext. 640.
