The Christian County Health Department reported six new coronavirus cases on Monday, pushing the total number of local cases confirmed since the pandemic began to 951. The last virus-related death, which was the 14th locally, was reported one week ago.
As of Labor Day, there were 258 active cases of COVID-19 in the county, while 679 people who previously tested positive for the virus were classified as recovered.
The number of confirmed, active cases by age group are:
- Youth (0-21): 60
- Young Adult-Middle Age (22-59): 136
- Older Adult (60-84): 45
- Elderly (85+): 17
