The Christian County Health Department has confirmed six new cases of coronavirus and announced that 12 people who previously tested positive are now recovered.
The report brings the county’s total of confirmed cases since the pandemic began locally to 485. Of those, 185 are active and 295 are recovered, according to the health department.
As cases continue to increase statewide, Gov. Beshear today announced additional measures to slow the spread of COVID-19 in Kentucky. Effective Tuesday, bars will be required to close for two weeks and restaurants will have to limit capacity to 25%, with unlimited outdoor capacity under distancing requirements.
The local, active coronavirus cases by age group are:
- Youth (0-21): 42
- Young Adult-Middle Age (22-59): 110
- Older Adult (60-84): 26
- Elderly (85+): 7
