Five newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported Friday in Christian County, raising the county total since the start of the pandemic to 262.
There were 93 active cases, while 165 people had recovered from the disease caused by the novel coronavirus, according to the Christian County Health Department’s daily report. Four people here have died of coronavirus complications.
The number of confirmed, active cases by age group are:
- Youth (0-21): 18
- Young Adult-Middle Age (22-59): 69
- Older Adult (60-84): 6
- Elderly (85+): 0
The county has recorded 25 new cases since Monday, and the number of people in the health department’s youth category who have an active case has increased from 12 to 18 this week.
