A man’s body was found Saturday afternoon in Little River near Marietta Drive, and authorities are asking for the public’s help to identify him.

A kayaker discovered the body, and Christian County Coroner Scott Daniel was called to the scene shortly before 5:30 p.m.
The victim is a white male, said Daniel. He was clothed but did not have any identification. The body was about 100 yards from the Marietta Drive bridge in the Givens Addition subdivision off the east side of the bridge. That is the section of the river between Marietta Drive and Fort Campbell Boulevard.
The body was partially decomposed, but it was not clear how long it had been in the river.
“That’s a tough question,” Daniel said. “That depends on so many factors. We’ll know after an autopsy.”
The body was sent to Madisonville for an autopsy.
Anyone who knows of a missing person or has other information that could help authorities identify the man is asked to call Daniel at 270-881-7004 or the Emergency Communications Center at 270-890-1300.
