The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Christian County increased by just one on Saturday, the local health department reported.

In its daily report on the novel coronavirus, the health department said the local count is 82 cases. There are 40 active cases and 39 recovered cases. In addition, three people have died from COVID-19 complications.
The number of confirmed cases by age group in Christian County are:
- Pediatric (0-21): 1
- Young Adult-Middle Age (22-59): 24
- Older Adult (60-84): 15
- Elderly (85+): 0
Kentucky had 206 newly confirmed cases reported Saturday, Gov. Andy Beshear said in his daily briefing.
As of Saturday, Kentucky had 2,707 cases of confirmed COVID-19. Roughly 46 percent of people diagnosed with the respiratory disease have recovered, said Beshear.
Seven deaths were reporting, bring the total in Kentucky to 144.
There were no new cases of COVID-19 at Western State Hospital, the governor announced. The number of cases at Western State stands at 40.
