Updates on the coronavirus response in Kentucky for Tuesday, March 17:
- Three more Kentucky cases of COVID-19 were confirmed overnight, raising the total to 25.
- The state Public Service Commission ordered all utilities it regulates to suspend until further notice, and for at least 30 days, all cutoffs for non-payment, and to stop charging late-payment fees.
- The University of Kentucky said classes would go online the rest of the semester, not just the two weeks after the current spring break.
- Gov. Andy Beshear begins once-a-day updates today at 3 p.m. CDT.
- “It’s a character test for us collectively as a society,” New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said at his update this morning, pleading for more federal help for states, “especially on the hospital capacity issue.”
