A send-off party for Hopkinsville Mayor Carter Hendricks and his executive secretary, Idalia Luna, is planned from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24, the Planters Bank-Jennie Stuart Health Sportsplex.
Hendricks is leaving office at the end of the month to become the executive director of the South Western Kentucky Economic Development Council.
Luna is leaving her job in the mayor’s office to take another position in city government. She will be the executive director of the Human Rights Commission, replacing Bernard Standard, who is retiring at the end of the month.

The sportsplex is at 115 Tilley Way, off Lovers Lane.
