City announces streets closures for Christmas Parade

The parade will begin at 5:15 p.m., running south on Main Street from Glass Avenue to 14th Street.

Several streets will be closed to traffic for a few hours Saturday because of the Hopkinsville Christmas Parade, city officials announced. The parade, organized by Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation and sponsored by HES/energynet, begins at 5:15 p.m. and runs south on Main Street from Glass Avenue to 14th Street. 

The following street closures are planned:

  • Glass Avenue, where the parade floats and vehicles are staged, will be blocked from 2:30-6:30 p.m.
  • Only parade participants will be allowed on Glass Avenue from 4-6:30 p.m.
  • All side streets connecting with Main Street from Glass Avenue to 14th Street will be blacked from 4-7 p.m.
  • N o parking will be allowed on Main Street from Glass Avenue to 14th Street from 4-7 p.m.
